Upper Arlington Public Library (UAPL) partnered with Benefactor Group to design a three-to-five-year strategic plan aimed at defining or affirming its mission, revising or affirming its core values, and establishing the library’s “north star” to guide its strategic objectives and initiatives. Benefactor Group consultants reviewed library materials and documents, conducted nine individual interviews, facilitated two focus groups, administered an online community survey, and hosted a community discussion. Following this comprehensive engagement, Benefactor Group facilitated a retreat with the library’s board and key staff members, guiding their strategic planning task forces through the development of objectives and measures for each priority area.
