Benefactor Group is pleased to welcome Joey Scheiber as Senior Consultant for our Talent and Executive Search team. Joey works alongside nonprofit organizations during pivotal leadership moments, helping them identify and recruit executives who can guide their missions forward. He supports clients throughout the entire executive search process, partnering with boards and leadership teams to clarify priorities, engage stakeholders, and attract candidates who align with each organization’s values, culture, and long-term vision.
Joey brings more than a decade of experience supporting nonprofit leadership recruitment and talent strategy. His work has included searches across a wide range of mission-driven organizations and sectors, including those in arts and culture, higher education, human services, healthcare, and social justice. Throughout the process, Joey emphasizes thoughtful engagement with both clients and candidates, helping organizations approach leadership transitions with clarity, inclusivity, and a focus on sustainable success.
He holds a bachelor’s degree in secondary education from the University of Cincinnati. Joey is an AIRS-Certified Diversity Recruiter and a member of the Network of Nonprofit Search Consultants. Earlier in his career, he served as an Annual Fellow with Chicago’s Development Leadership Consortium and has remained active in the nonprofit community through volunteer involvement with organizations including Steppenwolf Theatre Company, Chicago Public Schools, and the AIDS Foundation of Chicago.
