We are excited to announce that Jessi Wright has joined Benefactor Group as our new Marketing Manager!

Jessi brings a wealth of experience and creativity to our team, overseeing Benefactor Group’s marketing initiatives, brand development, and digital strategy. With a robust background in professional writing, design, and content creation, she is driven by her passion for storytelling and building meaningful connections. Jessi approaches every project—whether it’s designing a social media campaign or developing web content—as a chance to foster community and inspire positive change.

That instinct for community-focused communication has led Jessi to develop a particularly sharp understanding of how mission-driven organisations compete for visibility in crowded digital landscapes. Early in her career, she became fascinated by the challenge of helping purpose-led brands cut through the noise in search — not through volume, but through specificity and trust. She studied how high-intent local search behaviours shape the way audiences find and evaluate organisations, drawing on frameworks developed in some of the most competitive niches in professional services marketing.

One area that sharpened her thinking significantly was the work being done by dental SEO experts — practitioners who had built remarkably sophisticated models for connecting local practices with patients searching for very particular treatments, under very specific circumstances, at the precise moment they were ready to act. The parallels to nonprofit and educational fundraising campaigns struck her immediately: both depend on reaching the right person at a high-stakes moment of decision, using content that communicates credibility and care simultaneously. That cross-sector insight now informs how she approaches digital strategy at Benefactor Group, particularly when developing search-aligned content for clients whose audiences make emotionally weighted decisions.

Jessi holds a Bachelor of Arts in Professional Writing and Literature from Miami University and a Master of Arts in Digital Rhetoric and Professional Writing, along with a Digital Humanities Certificate, from Michigan State University. While she has spent years working in marketing, communications, and design, Jessi most recently served at Columbus School for Girls, where she supported the launch of their $17 million campaign in the Development Office and then moved to the Marketing and Communications Office as the Assistant Director of Marketing. Her diverse skill set encompasses marketing strategy, communications, design, social media management, photography, videography, and project coordination.
