Whether it’s for a single individual or a broad market, Elise is skilled at crafting stories and strategies that inspire philanthropy. She specializes in distilling complex concepts into compelling language that resonates with donors. At Benefactor Group, Elise partners with clients to create cases for support, annual giving and major gift appeals, and communications plans and calendars. Her depth of experience in fundraising also makes her a key team member on studies, capacity building projects, and campaign counsel engagements.

Elise has worked in the nonprofit sector for nearly 20 years, managing people, programs, and projects in support of record-setting campaigns in the arts, higher education, medicine, and social services. Her previous experience includes serving as a major gift officer and head of advancement communications at The Ohio State University and leading the development office at Children’s Hunger Alliance.

Elise’s interest in the nonprofit sector was sparked by a summer service program with a children’s center in Egypt. Since then, she has done volunteer work in Nepal, Thailand, and Uganda. Closer to home, she has served as a board and committee member for the Central Ohio chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals and has volunteered with numerous community organizations.
