Benefactor Group is pleased to welcome Robin Balfanz, MSW, to our team as our newest Nonprofit Technology Consultant. Robin has worked with organizations across healthcare, child welfare, workforce development, and education/service learning. She combines her extensive service delivery background with a passion for technology and data to help nonprofits implement impactful change and process management policies.
Her work has consistently led to streamlined operations, enhanced data collection, improved organizational effectiveness, and better-informed resourcing decisions. Prior to joining Benefactor Group, Robin served as the Manager of Impact and Evaluation at YWCA USA, where she strengthened systems for measuring and demonstrating impact.
Robin holds a Master’s of Social Work from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Outside of her professional role, she dedicates time to serving as a Social Work Case Manager at a community hospital and enjoys spending quality time with her family.
Robin’s thoughtful, systems-oriented approach makes her a valuable partner in helping mission-driven organizations harness data and technology to advance their goals and create lasting impact.

I got involved with serving nonprofit organizations because the need is great. I often think of CEO Marcus Lemonis’s principle: ‘people, process, product’ as the key to business success, and nonprofits are businesses. Nonprofits have an incredible product, their mission to improve their communities, but often struggle with the ‘people’ and ‘process’ pieces due to resource scarcity…It became clear to me that I could be involved by applying my skills and experiences to make organizations more efficient and effective, allowing them to do even more good in communities.”
