The Martin Luther King Jr. Performing and Cultural Arts Complex (King Arts Complex) strives to connect Central Ohio communities by presenting the cultural expressions of African Americans. After fully realizing its last strategic plan—which included launching innovative initiatives and revitalizing its board—King Arts Complex sought to build on its success and develop a new strategic plan.

In January 2023, Benefactor Group helped King Arts Complex devise a robust five-year strategic plan to focus its work through 2028. The comprehensive process included interviews, surveys, and a retreat with key donors, volunteers, and stakeholders. Benefactor Group further guided the organization in defining major objectives and establishing clear key performance indicators. With this strategic framework in place, King Arts Complex is well-positioned to enhance its impact in the years ahead.
