Buffalo History Museum

Buffalo History Museum

The Buffalo History Museum retained Benefactor Group to evaluate its fundraising potential with the goal of raising up to $18 million in support of three key objectives: creating a resource library/center as a destination for shared stewardship, refreshing the signature Pan-American Building, and strengthening the museum’s endowment. This assessment builds upon a prior study conducted in 2019, focusing on similar pillars.

The refreshed and streamlined assessment aimed to reaffirm the museum’s fundraising potential following several years of infrastructure-building activities and the impacts of external events, including the pandemic. Currently, Benefactor Group guided the Buffalo History Museum as it embarks on an extended preparation phase. This phase concentrated on affirming public funding sources and securing major gifts over the next 12 months. Following the successful completion of this phase, the museum will adjust its fundraising goal based on the outcomes of the preparation activities and continue its efforts in support of its ambitious vision.
