Beaches Area Historical Society

For over 25 years, a dedicated group of volunteers, the Beaches Area Historical Society, has maintained a modest archive to preserve the unique history of Northeast Florida’s beach communities. To celebrate this rich history and broaden public access to the archive, the Beaches Area Historical Society’s board developed plans to construct a new museum and hire professional staff. Benefactor Group assisted by developing a comprehensive case for support and guiding the board through a planning retreat, which launched a $3 million project for the new facility. Our counsel then structured and managed a capital campaign to fund the construction and startup of the museum. Today, the Society’s impressive 12,000 square-foot museum and community center commemorates over a century of history in coastal Florida, attracting both tourists and local residents with its diverse exhibits, archival displays, and community activities.
