The Epilepsy Foundation of America is dedicated to improving the lives of individuals affected by epilepsy through education, advocacy, research, and community connection. In 2023, Benefactor Group partnered with the Foundation to conduct a comprehensive development assessment and create a strategic plan aimed at enhancing philanthropic growth.

Benefactor Group evaluated the Foundation’s potential for philanthropic support and provided a detailed three-year development plan and revenue model. This included conducting discovery sessions with eight distinct constituency groups, facilitating a strategic planning retreat, and developing a robust strategic framework.

The timing of this plan was crucial as the Foundation was transitioning to an affiliate-only network model. Benefactor Group ensured that the strategic plan and affiliate migration plan aligned seamlessly. Additionally, the project involved crafting renewed mission and vision statements and supporting the communication and rollout of both plans to the national network. This collaborative effort positions the Epilepsy Foundation of America for continued growth and increased impact in the community it serves.
