In 2023, the City of Lima, Ohio, contracted Benefactor Group to conduct an initial philanthropic assessment and provide ongoing counsel for a campaign to create a new aquatic park for the communities of Lima and Allen County.

The assessment, combined with prior design and construction studies as well as community listening sessions, revealed the potential for a $5 million campaign for short-term and endowed funds. Our team delivered a campaign plan, timeline, budget, internal case for support, and a variety of materials to support the steering committee and ongoing work of the campaign.

Currently, we are focused with project partners on securing 100% participation from the steering committee as well as the solicitation of leadership gifts. As of March 2025, multiple commitments have been secured, and ground has been broken on the Lima Community Aquatic Park, which is expected to open in 2025.
