Hocking Athens Perry Community Action (HAPCAP) is dedicated to engaging local citizens in innovative projects that alleviate the effects of poverty in Southeast Ohio. The organization’s programs promote self-sufficiency and enhance the quality of life for residents in the region. However, HAPCAP recently faced challenges with declining donor participation and sought to reverse this trend by improving retention rates and strengthening donor relationships.
In 2021, HAPCAP partnered with Benefactor Group to assess its current donor retention practices and develop a feasible plan to enhance retention moving forward. Benefactor Group designed a comprehensive strategy aimed at increasing donor engagement by analyzing trends in HAPCAP’s historical giving patterns, improving donor communications, and refining systems for donor management. HAPCAP is now in the process of implementing the priority recommendations provided by Benefactor Group to boost donor retention and engagement.
