The Buckeye Ranch is a leading provider of mental and behavioral health treatment services for youth and families in Franklin County. Operating six locations throughout Central and Southwestern Ohio, the organization serves more than 2,500 youth and families daily through a continuum of tailored programs.

Recently, The Buckeye Ranch experienced extraordinary growth and impact. With more than 60 years of leadership in the field, it had become increasingly well known and well respected in Central Ohio and beyond, securing significant roles in community care. The organization announced a major expansion in partnership with Nationwide Children’s Hospital, aligning with growing national awareness of the importance of youth mental and behavioral health.

With new funding and expanded community roles, The Buckeye Ranch was poised to meet the ever-growing demand for mental health services and lead efforts to serve children with complex needs. To support this momentum, The Buckeye Ranch engaged Benefactor Group from 2022 to 2023 as its growth partner, identifying and placing dynamic leaders to amplify its impact throughout Ohio.

• Chief Financial Officer: Fraser Scoyne joined The Buckeye Ranch with 30 years of finance experience at major organizations including Ford Motor Company, Limited Brands, Big Lots!, and Cardinal Health. He has played a pivotal role in guiding continued growth by shaping future programmatic and infrastructural investments that respond to the evolving needs of Ohio’s children, youth, and families.
• Executive Vice President of Programs and Services: Christina Massey (MSW, LISW-S) has dedicated 20 years to supporting the nonprofit social and human services sector in Ohio. As a key thought partner to the CEO, she has helped drive decision making at The Buckeye Ranch, shaping initiatives from ideation to implementation.
• Vice President of Residential Treatment: Sarah Book (MA, LPCC-S) is a servant leader with over 15 years of administrative experience in mental health and social services. Her expertise in the psychiatric treatment landscape has positioned her as a key leader in improving services for vulnerable and underserved populations.
• Director of Development: Abigail Maenle is a strategic fundraising leader with deep knowledge of fundraising principles, methods, and the Central Ohio philanthropic landscape. She has successfully overseen the growth and evolution of The Buckeye Ranch’s fund development strategies.
