Since 1982, the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank has provided life-changing nourishment and support to people across eight Northeast Ohio counties. With a network of 600 partner organizations and two campuses in Akron and Stark County, the Foodbank efficiently collects, stores, and distributes food to those in need. Benefactor Group has been a trusted partner since 2017, beginning with a campaign feasibility study to support the creation of a Stark Collaborative Food Campus, expand capacity, and strengthen the endowment. Based on strong community support, we recommended launching a $10 million campaign—an effort that ultimately surpassed its goal, raising $11.9 million.

Beyond campaign counsel, Benefactor Group supported the Foodbank in donor retention efforts following record pandemic-era giving. Most recently, we conducted an endowment and planned giving assessment, delivering a targeted case for support and strategy to complete the campaign’s original vision. These initiatives are helping the Foodbank secure long-term financial stability, ensuring it can continue serving communities across Northeast Ohio for generations to come.
