In 2020, Benefactor Group was engaged by the City of Fargo, North Dakota, to assess the feasibility of launching a public-private partnership to construct a new performance center in the city’s core. The feasibility study evaluated various combinations of public and private funding to support a projected $75 million investment in a space dedicated to the performing arts.

During the discovery process, Benefactor Group identified a potential for $25-30 million in private funding through self-identified gifts, providing valuable insights that empowered the City Commissioner to formulate a plan for securing the remaining project funding and prepare for a successful capital campaign.

In 2021, the City of Fargo retained Benefactor Group to provide comprehensive campaign services. Benefactor Group developed a compelling campaign case for support, created a detailed campaign plan, and continues to offer ongoing counsel to ensure the project’s success.
