Senior Consultant | Email Drew

For over three decades, Drew has given his time and talent to work on behalf of nonprofit organizations, both as a development professional and a dedicated leadership volunteer. For more than 13 years, he led corporate giving and sponsorship, as well as individual giving at one of the most respected science centers in North America, COSI Columbus. There he developed the museum’s corporate sponsorship and membership program, co-managed the $126 million capital campaign for the new facility, and spearheaded task forces that created and funded new, barrier-breaking guest experiences.

After COSI and prior to joining Benefactor Group, Drew served as Senior Vice President and partner for 17 years at a nationally respected Columbus-based agency that creates engaging consumer experiences through events for its corporate and nonprofit clients. He was involved in nearly every aspect of the agency, with a special focus on overseeing business development and helping to oversee daily operations as well as quality control for the agency’s services at events and venues nationwide.

Drew has demonstrated his continued strong passion for nonprofits as a lead executive volunteer, donor, and board member for the past 28 years – most notably for the American Heart Association, Boy Scouts of America, Greater Columbus Arts Council, 4H of Ohio, and the Alzheimer’s Association. For nearly 30 years, Drew’s passion for the American Heart Association has helped create new giving programs and strategies for organizational focus that are driven by the mission. He has been responsible for raising over $1.35 million through individual gifts and corporate gifts/sponsorships. Drew has received numerous local and regional awards and citations for his volunteer work and fundraising achievements.

Drew’s talents lie in developing and maintaining strong and consistent client-focused communication, a keen understanding and practice of running nonprofits as businesses, realistic but boundary-pushing systems, strategies and tactics, and unrelenting stewardship.
